Malabrigo close-up.

Lindsey and I decided to start this blog to share our crafty endeavors with each other. I’ll be taking pictures on Thursday and Sunday to share here, and Lindsey will be taking pictures on Tuesday and Sunday. My pictures will probably be mostly knitting with a bit of quilting and sewing thrown in for fun – especially as the year goes on, as I have to make Lindsey a quilt for her wedding this summer!

Here’s my first picture! It’s my first knitting project of 2008 (can you believe it’s 2008?), a Koolhaas hat knit with lovely soft and squishy Malabrigo Worsted Merino. I bought it when I was visiting Lindsey in Massachusetts last week. It was my souvenir yarn! And so pink!

I love the texture of the little traveling stitches in this hat. They’re worked as twisted stitches, which really makes them pop, and the Malabrigo has a great texture and wonderful cable definition.
