This weekend I worked on a few embroidered broaches. I had a lot of fun trying to find the best composition and doing it basically freehand. It was so much fun! I tried out a bunch of new knots, and now I want to go buy as much embroidery floss as I possibly can!!

Sick Sunday.

I was sick all weekend.  I spent Sunday in bed.  Literally.

I took some time out to get caught up on my keepsake copies, for weddings that I officiate at.  Here are two from the ceremonies I did yesterday – I just ordered a long arm stapler, so as soon as I get that, I’ll staple this, and get them on their way (and yours too, Lindsey!).

I just can’t quite get the color right, but I finally got the stitch right!!!  This, of course, is the gull lace pattern on my February Lady Sweater!  I’m really digging knitting this right now.  It’s flying by.  Everyday I drive in I wish it was done and I could bring it with me to wear at work.  Alas, I’ll have to wait awhile longer.  But isn’t it lovely?

llama earring!

These are the amazing Llama earrings Jessie gave to me for my birthday! LOVE THEM! I wore them all weekend, and to work! People think they’re horses. Then I try to get them all excited about the llama- like ALPACA! No one is as excited as me…

I am onto the body of this sweater! Very exciting, but I am definitely moving more slowly with this lace! I’m still loving the pattern AND the color of the yarn!

Sorry this is late! I was at a conference all weekend, so I didn’t do much crafting. I did walk by this crazy/ crafty display on Newbury St. I had to take a picture!

February Baby Sweater

I’d been looking for something to make from my (very small) stash of Socks That Rock heavyweight… I kept on knitting stuff and ripping it. Babywear seemed perfect! And quick! This is EZ’s February Baby Sweater, in lovely Lemongrass.. and the yarn is soft, washable, and sturdy (since it’s sock yarn). Really lovely. And really satisfying!

This is an origami owl.

I kind of messed up his wings but otherwise.. he’s kind of cool.

finished yoke!

I took Tuesday off to deal with going to the doctor and getting my name changed and everything. That meant a lot of waiting rooms which meant a lot of knitting!!! I have finished the yoke and have begun the lace! It’s so exciting!

Hurray for lace! Hurray for sweater bodies! Hurray for no more top down raglan increases!
