I went to visit friends this weekend, and eventhough I brought a long four projects- the Suprise Baby Jacket was the one I worked on the most. I’m sure part of it was that I was making it for their unborn baby, but also because it’s garter stitch and was the easiest thing to pick up while I was playing a game! I love these colors together. I can’t wait to make little accessories to go with this sweater. I should be working on my Christmas knitting, though…

Big & Small!

Big sweater, little sweater.  I laid these out to see what my buttons would look like – I’m very happy with my button choices.  Only one sleeve left for the Jessie sized one!

lasagna mmmm

I made lasagna! It was incredibly good, and I’m excited about having it today for lunch! I didn’t put any meat or veggies in it- just noodles, cheese and sauce. A LOT of cheese! I didn’t love the noodles I used- I used Trader Joe’s no boil noodles. We ate it with meatballs and asparagus. YUM! I felt totally crafting putting it together- overlapping noodles, breaking off corners so fit it in our lasagna pan (by the way- I’ve had the pan for like 2 years, and this is the first time lasagna has been made in it). Ben was like- what pan did you make it in? And I was like- uhh.. the lasagna pan. He was all- we have a lasagna pan?!

Foot Long Cheese & Bacon Dog.

I had a meeting with a potential couple, and we met at a deli/restaurant in Central Jersey.  This is where I enjoyed the world’s largest cheese dog.  Wow.  I had about two bites, and Dan thourougly enjoyed the rest.

Big Balloon

Ben and I went to the Adiraondack Balloon Festival on Saturday, and it was a ton of fun! This is a balloon that didn’t end up taking off. My dad has promised to send me the pictures I took with his camera- there was a ton of them. It was a lot of fun, and there were a lot of really great balloons! We saw a polar bear, a monster, a lady bug, a strawberry, and a dog! How fun!

This is the first striping of my Suprise Baby Jacket. I’m so excited to see how this knit turns out, that eventhough I have a TON of other knitting to do, I keep going back to this. I started with a blue stripe today! It’s so fun!

yarn at cranberry fiber arts

Jessie and I went on a yarn crawl on Saturday! It was super fun, and this is a very small amount of yarn that we saw. We travelled in about a 10 mile radius of Salem. This was taken at Cranberry Fiber Arts in South Hamilton, MA.

Thursday,

Final day of vacation before heading back to work. Swatching for collaborative sweater designs with Lindsey. I started knitting this swatch with one sweater in mind, but am leaning towards a different design now that the swatch is taking shape…

Sunday

OK, I didn’t take this.  I was too busy eating ice cream and standing in the ocean.  But I was there!  Isn’t this a beautiful beach sunset?

blur kitty.JPG

Queen Elizabeth has decided that she won’t sit still for portraits any longer, and this seems to be the only picture I took on Tuesday. I think it’s a very neat cat, and I was trying to give her as much attention as possible because we were away all weekend. I think you can still tell how adorable she is even with all the blurriness!
